When our client came to us with the prospect of developing marketing collateral for a new annual conference they were implementing, we were pretty chuffed to support them through the process.
Setting up a conference can be an expensive exercise and we often advise our clients on how to utilise their graphic design and marketing budget for maximum impact. Our experience in this sector has given great insight into how to develop assets that are emotive, inspiring, WCAG accessible and fit for purpose.
We analysed all the elements and collateral required to promote a ticket-based conference and designed a cost-effective ‘template’ for a booking website, event program, press release and social media graphics. The idea being that by simply changing text, colours and imagery, we can make each future conference look new, fresh and exciting; easily adapting to a chosen theme.
While adhering to the initial budget, we additionally provided a benefit that any future conference graphic design would be 20-30% less than initial spend. This is one of the most measurable benefits of developing a brand template; the other is consumer recognition.
Buyers rarely make purchases without first developing expectations about what they’re getting. A consistent brand experience remains key to creating and capitalising on those expectations. Consistency across all marketing elements increases consumer trust and familiarity while building brand recognition.
Our brand template system allowed the client to easily adapt and develop conference content for each consecutive year, saving them time, money and stress.
The conference was a fantastic success and all the tickets were sold, a tradition that continues each year.
