Rachel Nelson lives in Townsville and was desperate to leave her full time job and follow a dream to help and empower others to be more confident.

Rachel had heard about GWD through mutual friends and reached out for help on a new business idea. Upon her own admission, Rachel was confused about where to start or how to go about creating a business presence.

Over several phone conversations we got to ask all the questions we needed to get an idea of her vision. We also realised that budgets were tight and this project needed to be lean in the early stage of testing the market. We suggested the minimum required for a new business was: a consistent brand identity, business card, a single-page website, email signature, social media imagery and something memorable to leave with prospects.

We like to guide and empower small businesses to delve into their hearts and uncover the truth about their value proposition and business model. We coached Rachel to write a mission and vision statement and helped determine how to package her skill set to a varied audience. These gentle steps developed Rachel’s business strategy and the confidence to start.

We then advised on website structure and content, how to connect all social media platforms and make them look consistent (via imagery and naming convention), the power of testimonials and even art directed her profile shot with a photographer in her home town. All while being 2000km away.

Working remotely with clients is easy these days and beautiful results can be achieved no matter where you live.
